Pete Sessions and wife are separating

Well, this is sad. I've been hoping that Pete Sessions would leave Congress "to spend more time with my family," but, apparently, I'm out of luck. Pete Sessions and his wife of 27 years are separating.

The 56-year-old Texas Republican issued a statement Friday:

"After a great deal of thought and discussion, a decision has been made that my wife and I are separating. I am grateful for many years of marriage, and the blessing of two wonderful sons. I ask for respect for my privacy and for that of my family, and I do not intend to comment any further."
Of course, he can't be reached for comment, and he dumped this news on Friday night. So there's no news on what's behind this--maybe she got tired of him running off to fundraisers at strip clubs or just got tired of him being so damned stupid.

Or maybe he's leaving her for Alan Stanford.

Whatever the reason, he's got some splainin' to do--like it or not--to his right-wing followers who've been lapping up his "family values" message all these years.

This seems to be the most important thing that Pete has accomplished in quite some time.

Although Pete is a representative for my district, I like to think that he also represents the State of Texas. In that regard, it seems he's decided not to become involved in one the biggest crisis to hit our state ever.

On the topic of the drought and wildfires, he is characteristically silent.

At least Sen John Cornyn has taken a stand is obstructing Federal Funding. Pete Sessions - Crickets...

Maybe it'll help my campaign against him in 2012. I need all the help I can get. I don't have millions, refuse to take a single dollar from anybody, and am pretty much on my own going door to door. I just hope my fellow Texan's educate themselves before a vote, and I may have a chance!

You should at least start a website Eric.

I'm sure you'd be welcome to post the URL here.

Here are comparative 2000, 2007, and 2010 Med. HH income, PCI, and poverty rates for the TX-32 (link below).

19% poverty in Pete's district, up from 12% in 2000!

(I'm tom47 on dKos)

I thought someone could use this. Other data by Congressional district may be available.

Eric Smith, whoever you are, I would welcome your running against Pete.

It's been a while since your last post here. Would you like any assistance with this blog? I'm sick and tired of being lied to by Pete Sessions.

How can I contact this blog's author?

You lefties should look after your own scandals and I think divorce is a personal issue. You did not blink when Slick willie Clinton left semen stains on Monika Lewinskys dress undtil she produced the evidence. It is sad that both parties play this blame game.

Well I am now running against this fellow, my site is at:

It has links to twitter/facebook. I will start my signature collection (500+ needed) this weekend, if not sooner. If you want to help me collect them let me know on my site.

I do *not* accept money from anybody, but will accept time. Even getting me a 10 signatures will help, and you get to meet me as I stop by to collect the paperwork! :)
